CAMP SURF

Imperial Beach, CA 91932

Camp Surf Website

We stay in cabins. The cabins have bunk beds with mattresses. Air mattresses are not necessary. Also, some tents may be available for sleeping right on the beach

We are responsible for bringing our own housekeeping supplies: sleeping bags, towels, and pillows.

Bring a variety of clothes because weather could be anything from a balmy 80 degrees to a cool 60 degrees. Also, no matter what the daytime temperature is, it will be cool at night.

The camp provides meals – three meals on Saturday, plus Sunday breakfast and lunch.

Bring some snacks and drinks for the girls because they may get hungry between the mess hall meals. Plan for late-morning, late-afternoon, and before-bed snacks for Saturday.

Bring whatever you and your daughter like to drink between meals too. Water. Sodas.

Note: All YMCA events are drug and alcohol free

Below is the Activity Schedule that we have put together for the Archery and Climbing areas.

If your tribe wants to partake of these activities, we suggest visiting them during your tribe's designated time slot.  Our goal is to reduce congestion in these areas.  Please note if you go to these areas when it's not your tribe's designated time, you will have to wait until everyone in the assigned tribe has finished.

The beach area is open and staffed as well, and other activities are also available, so don't feel you have to do archery or climbing if you'd rather do something else.

You do NOT need to fill out and bring the Camper Health History form (these are only required if there is a child who will not be accompanied by her parent or guardian).  There will be a couple of forms to read and sign when you check in.

Arrival

Check-in starts at 4:00 p.m., and not a minute earlier.  There will be plenty of time to check in after 4:00 p.m., since Camp Surf is not providing dinner Friday night.

Leave Orange County early to avoid San Diego weekend getaway traffic on Interstate 5 South.

Friday Night Dinner

Friday dinner will be on your own. There are numerous restaurants and fast food places within walking or driving distance from camp. Enjoy a nice meal with your daughter alone, or gather as a tribe and go out together.

Be back at camp well before 8:00 p.m. for orientation and more fun by the Camp Surf staff.
